About the G3 format
G3 — CCITT Group 3 FAX
G3 is a monochrome image format defined by the CCITT (ITU-T) standard for Group 3 fax transmission. It encodes pages as compressed bitstreams using Modified Huffman (MH) or Modified READ (MR) compression, designed to minimize transmission time over telephone lines.

About the JEF format
JEF — Janome Embroidery Format
JEF is the native machine embroidery format for Janome and Elna embroidery machines. Unlike DST it does store thread colour information, so a JEF file carries both the stitch path and the colour sequence the machine should follow.
